A God who remembers...!

Image
...and the Lord remembered Hannah. 1 Samuel 1:19 We all have hundreds of things that We ask the Lord for, but it seems like some prayers are forever kept unanswered! Oftentimes it feels like such prayers are not even heard or have been forgotten through the years.  In the bible we read the story of Hannah, who experienced something similar! Hannah was married to Elkanah but couldn´t bear children for she was barren. Hannah had an amazing marriage. Her husband was very good to her, but regardless of how blessed she was in that area of her life, she truly desired a child of her own!  Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart. Psalm 37:4 (AMP) Most of us, when our wishes don´t seem to come to pass, we go to friends, we cry, we complain, we talk about our frustration...and there is nothing really wrong about that! Hannah did the same! She would go to her husband and tell him how frustrated she was about it all.

Believing God for improbable things in your life!

...for the Mighty One has done  great things for me; Luke 1:49 Take a moment and consider the greatness of the cosmos. The sky, the oceans, the mountains, the sun... things displayed in the universe are way TOO beautiful to have been created by an explosion. Such beautiful things and great things must have been created by a being who is equally great and beautiful!  The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.   Psalm 19:1 If all these things are so wonderful, what can we say about US human beings - you are his MASTERPIECE!  God had YOU in mind when he created all these things - it was for your pleasure and delight! If such a lovely God like Him cares enough about you to take out time to creat beautiful and great things, won´t he do the smaller things too? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us ALL things?  Romans 8:32 I want us to co

The reward of trusting God...

And because the midwives feared  God,  he gave them families  of their own. Exodus 1:21 Sometimes it seems like that the things we desire most are given to others and we are kept standing in line, waiting and waiting. It always seems like our neighbor has that which we wanted, that their lives are better than ours in this or that way. But we should keep in mind that those who wait upon the Lord and trust him will never be left out of His wonderful goodness!  The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Lamentations 3:25 The book of Exodus tells us the story of two midwives employed by pharaoh to help women give birth to their babies. For what the bible says, it is likely that these women were single and didn´t have a family of their own yet. They were commanded by pharaoh to kill every male baby born from the hebrew women . But it is written that they FEARED GOD and didn´t not obey pharaoh.  The eye of the Lord is upon them

Where is the RIGHT PLACE for me?

Image
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;     surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:6 We are constantly wondering if we are at the right place, doing the right thing, doing it the right way ... we don´t want to miss opportunities. Whenever we think about being at the right place at the right time our goal is to be where it will benefit us most. But God has a different way of thinking...  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 God teaches us that is it more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35), firstly because if you are the giver it means you HAVE something to give, you are not in need - and that is wonderful; secondly because whoever sows generously will also reap generously (2 Co 9:6)- there is a law here, we sow, we REAP, it won´t fail. That means that sometimes GOD places us where we will not reap benefits for ourselves immedi

Being built by God...

Image
For every house is built by someone,  but God is the builder of everything.  Hebrews 3:4 Never in history people have been so busy. Always working... studying... doing something. That is not something bad in itself for that is also God´s nature. Jesus once replied “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” (John 5:17)  Nevertheless we need to be aware that God´s major work is being done within us. He is always working in our favor, not just to make us have a good life on earth but also to cause us to live a significant life on earth! You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood,  offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God  through Jesus Christ.  1 Peter 2:5 Jesus is the rock! We are living stones! Have you realized that we have the same nature God has himself? His Spirit in us is the warranty of a solid and unshakable life despite the storms that may come our way. W

Faithfullness: The avanue to Success

Image
"You have been faithful with a few things;  I will put you in charge of many things."  Matthew 25:21 If we search our hearts we will find that it longs for GREATER things. We may start small but deep inside our desire is to become great, to have much, to do big things! The normal is to be drawn by the successful, the famous. To desire such things is not always a sign of pride.. neither is a sign of humility to avoid going for these things. "He has made everything beautiful in its time.  He has also set eternity in the human heart"  Ecc 3:11 That is not a weird thought! We were designed to long for the great, the beautiful, the glorious, for this is our nature and the essence of the Spirit of God who dwells in us. But we need to keep in mind that there is a process towards greatness. The prophet warns us that we shouldn´t despise the small beginnings. We shouldn´t be sad about not being THERE yet. Jesus himself experienced 30 years of

How to be blessed in ALL things...

Image
...and the Lord had blessed Abraham in ALL things. Gen 24:1 One of the names of God is the Lord ALmighty. What should we expect from a God who is all mighty? You name it! Fullness is the essence of God. We won´t hear about anything that He has started and hasn´t finished. That is exactly what Jesus did and cried out on the cross: IT IS FINISHED! ... it is completed! He finished it ALL!  I will cry to God Most High, Who accomplishes all things on my behalf  [for He completes my purpose in His plan]. Psalm 57:2 (AMP) Most of time we feel like we are half way from being sucessful, satisfied, blessed in life. There is this uncomfortable feeling of "there is always a missing piece". We need to remember that our God is a God of -ALL-. We are not supposed to have things working great for us in our families as we have troubles at our job or health, for example. God wants us to live out his blessings in full: to experience his favor upon ALL things!  He is

Go deeper, Hear His voice, Find Gold!

Jesus said to Simon,  “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”  Luke 5:4 People often say that if you want to become or get something in life, you need to work hard. There is a truth there, but there is a deeper truth than that which requires hearing God and moving according to his spoken word! The story in Luke 5 tells us that the disciples had worked hard all night and yet caught no fish. Maybe those fishermen didn´t get so frustrated about that lack of success that night for probably there were other times when likewise they had caught nothing. We need to keep in mind that the Lord Jesus will always do exceeding above all we ask or think (Eph 3:20). But the key for this great catch is to expect that everything God says is leading us to experience a greater measure of his love and goodness! “Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can rivers drown it. Songs of Solomon 8:7 Jesus told Peter to take his boat a bit further... to cast t

Standing on the promise...

Image
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 A promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen. The bible is packed with promises from a lovely Father to his beloved children. All his promises work together to his ultimate plan about us reigning on earth with Jesus forever.  Everything God has ever spoken to a particular person is aligned with this purpose. The closest we get to Jesus, more we get to learn about his plans and how every single thing that happens in our lives is carefully coordinated to his plans.  It was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt. Genesis 45:8 Through night dreams God spoke to Joseph, son of Israel, about his future as a ruler. When Joseph was sold by hi

Jesus will do what you cannot!

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man  which was blind from his birth. John 9:1 Most of us think that in order to have good things happen in our lives we need either to be born with the right skills, or to work hard, or to be acquainted with the right people!  But Jesus doesn´t need to go through this list to bless us! In the passage above we can tell that the blind man´s chance to receive his sight was null! Maybe he didn´t even have such a strong desire about it since he had never seen and wouldn´t really know how it felt like! He probably didn´t even get to know that Jesus was passing by. From what we read, he didn´t even know who Jesus was - unlike the other blind man, Bartimaeus, who KNEW Jesus was passing by and began to SHOUT “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:46-47). So God looked on the Israelites  and was concerned about them. Exodus 2:25 This other blind man didn´t have such information before hand! Although the blind man couldn
