Standing on the promise...

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

A promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen. The bible is packed with promises from a lovely Father to his beloved children. All his promises work together to his ultimate plan about us reigning on earth with Jesus forever.

Everything God has ever spoken to a particular person is aligned with this purpose. The closest we get to Jesus, more we get to learn about his plans and how every single thing that happens in our lives is carefully coordinated to his plans.

It was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.
Genesis 45:8

Through night dreams God spoke to Joseph, son of Israel, about his future as a ruler. When Joseph was sold by his brothers as a slave to Egypt it seemed like the end of such promise. But Joseph stood firm on God´s promises and didn´t let circumstances nor TIME persuade his heart that it was the end!

 I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the ending, says the Lord.
Revelation 1:8

Everything that has started in GOD will only find its end IN GOD, for He is the beginning and the end! Fears and doubts will try to crush our hope and make us think it is the end but we need to stand firm on the promise, because only God can bring it to an end and everything He begins, He ends it!  And it is written:  Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof (Ecc 7:8)

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,
for he who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23

Remember: the one who makes a promise is one accountable to accomplish it! So when everything seems to go against the promises of God, against the dreams He has laid in your heart, CHOOSE to stand on his word, on his promises! Keep confessing His faithfulness. Keep confessing his promises over your life. You will see each one of them come to pass! God is not late. He never is. Whatsoever He has spoken, He will fulfill it!

The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly,
for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”
Jeremiah 1:12
