Go deeper, Hear His voice, Find Gold!

   Jesus said to Simon, 
“Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
 Luke 5:4


People often say that if you want to become or get something in life, you need to work hard. There is a truth there, but there is a deeper truth than that which requires hearing God and moving according to his spoken word!

The story in Luke 5 tells us that the disciples had worked hard all night and yet caught no fish. Maybe those fishermen didn´t get so frustrated about that lack of success that night for probably there were other times when likewise they had caught nothing. We need to keep in mind that the Lord Jesus will always do exceeding above all we ask or think (Eph 3:20). But the key for this great catch is to expect that everything God says is leading us to experience a greater measure of his love and goodness!

“Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor can rivers drown it.
Songs of Solomon 8:7

Jesus told Peter to take his boat a bit further... to cast the nets into the deep waters. Sometimes we are trying hard to be blessed in a way or in a place, but there is a blessing from God which we haven´t accessed that lays in the deeper places of our relationship with Him and with other people around us.


It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,

But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Proverbs 25:2

God loves to surprise his children and watch our joy and astonishment! In the deeper places of his heart he hides wonderful treasures FOR his children and not FROM his children, as Bills Johnson says. God had saved all the fish in ther deeper waters so that it would take HEARING HIS VOICE in order to get the right directions for such a great catch!

 The Lord is more than willing to speak to you on a daily basis. So ask him for daily directions. Be specific. Sometimes a new thought will come in your mind and it will look like a thought of yours, but it is very likely that God is speaking to  you through that thought. He is a wonderful Father. 

 Therefore, choose to go deeper where the waters are still and you can hear Him more clearly. Listen and you will succeed at all times!

 Behold, I stand at the door and  knock. 
If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, 
I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:20

Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything starts with t

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
