Being built by God...




For every house is built by someone, 
but God is the builder of everything. 
Hebrews 3:4


Never in history people have been so busy. Always working... studying... doing something. That is not something bad in itself for that is also God´s nature. Jesus once replied “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” (John 5:17) 

Nevertheless we need to be aware that God´s major work is being done within us. He is always working in our favor, not just to make us have a good life on earth but also to cause us to live a significant life on earth!

You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, 
offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God 
through Jesus Christ. 
1 Peter 2:5

Jesus is the rock! We are living stones! Have you realized that we have the same nature God has himself? His Spirit in us is the warranty of a solid and unshakable life despite the storms that may come our way. Whatever is inside of us will be manifest outwardly - sooner or later!   

Unless the Lord builds the house,
    the builders labor in vain.
Psalm 127:1

God has designed us to be his co-labours in this glorious work He began in our lives. Just like everything He builds lasts forever, He also expects us to work on things that will echo through eternity! What would it be? Love. Things we work so hard to get will be destroyed, but love will last forever. We will never regret having loved God and people with all our hearts. 
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 
1 John 4:16

The moment we realize what a great love we are loved by the BUILDER of our lives and what such a PRICE was paid to purchase us, we will start to treasure more ourselves and others around us.  Love is the only "thing" that is truly everlasting! No wonder GOD IS LOVE. And LOVE dwells within us. Our significance doesn´t start by how much people succeed in loving us, but by how much we realize what a GREAT LOVE God has for us... regardless of ourselves and our deeds. This is his nature and He desires to reveal more of his love on a daily basis to us. Make this your daily prayer: Father, help me to experience more of your great love within me! This is a prayer that will never be kept unanswered! Try it out ;) 

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything star...
