Faithfullness: The avanue to Success






"You have been faithful with a few things; 
I will put you in charge of many things." 
Matthew 25:21

If we search our hearts we will find that it longs for GREATER things. We may start small but deep inside our desire is to become great, to have much, to do big things! The normal is to be drawn by the successful, the famous. To desire such things is not always a sign of pride.. neither is a sign of humility to avoid going for these things.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. 
He has also set eternity in the human heart" 
Ecc 3:11

That is not a weird thought! We were designed to long for the great, the beautiful, the glorious, for this is our nature and the essence of the Spirit of God who dwells in us. But we need to keep in mind that there is a process towards greatness. The prophet warns us that we shouldn´t despise the small beginnings. We shouldn´t be sad about not being THERE yet. Jesus himself experienced 30 years of a life which no one would see any miracle performed by him... no sign..no wonder. But he knew that those 30 years prior were not in vain. They were the very cause of everything he came to live afterwards! He nutured a close relationship with the Father, keeping his heart meek and humble, being faithful over the small things the Lord had put him in charge of, like taking care of his own blood family and working in his Dad´s carpentry shop- for instance! Mind you: Jesus IS God and he submitted himself to such a routine that apparently had nothing to do with "his future". Greatness was inside of him. This greatness lead him further. 

"Who dares despise the day of small things..." 
Zac 4:10

Most of times, things we want don´t happen in our timing. But our task is to be faithful. Faithful about those boring activities that maybe we wanted not to have to do. God is faithful and he responds to any sort of faithfulness we may express towards things in our lives at the moment! 

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
    bind them around your neck,
    write them on the tablet of your heart.
Prov 3:3

Faithfulness is an attribute of God and He will never fail his part in making you succeed and live the abundant life Jesus promised us! Our part is to remain likewise faithful. Let us be faithful to the principles of God... faithful about spending time in growing in intimacy with him... faithful towards our friends and family... faithful towards our boss and leaders... faithful about our church... let us simply remain FAITHFUL. There is a reward for that! God himself has promised it! His faithfulness will always encounter you. Sooner or later. It won´t fail you! Just remain faithfull!


Who is like you, Lord God Almighty?
    You, Lord, are mighty, 
and your faithfulness surrounds you.
Psalm 89:8

To every thing there is a season,  and a time to every purpose under the heaven... Ecclesiastes 3:1  Nowadays one of people´s greatest excuses is: "I don´t have time". Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything starts with t

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
