People don´t have the power to ruin your life!





The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; 
yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Psalm 16:6


Here is an allusion to the ancient division of the land by casting lots among the Israelites. God instructed them to cast lots so that they would get to know His will for a given situation. 

I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8

No matter HOW things turn out for us, we should never fear that people could take advantage or harm us! We need to trust that God is working behind the scenes of everything that happens in our lives! Let´s say we are hoping for a promotion at our workplace but it ends up going to someone else. There are 2 truths here: 1) God´s goodness reaches every man, for this is his NATURE! It is about who He is and not about who is getting the promotion; 2) whatever He has designed to be ours cannot be plucked out of his hands - it WILL find its destination! So, even when something "not so good" happens - God will STILL use that situation for our good! 

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
Luke 11:13

The secret of trusting the Lord is to keep awareness of His good plans for us! A good father is all about making good plans for his children and making sure they will get to live the best life they could dream of. Our heavenly Father, our strong and almighty God, is the one who goes before us and fights our battles and grants us victory!

I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
    even at night my heart instructs me.
Psalm 16:7

Nowadays we don´t need to cast lots anymore to get to know the Lord´s will for our lives. He has given us His full written Word and the Holy Spirit dwelling within us every minute of our days. He will bring revelation and instruction about the decisions we need to make. But one thing we can be sure of in advance: the outcome will always be beautiful! No one can harm us. We don´t need to lie or to deceive others in order to try to get advantage through our own hands! Our work is to TRUST our father´s goodness and instruction! He will lead us to delightful places and will turn our mourning into joy! May this thought find place in our hearts every day of our lives!

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11

To every thing there is a season,  and a time to every purpose under the heaven... Ecclesiastes 3:1  Nowadays one of people´s greatest excuses is: "I don´t have time". But it really amazes me  how that Jesus seemed to have time to every little and big thing as he walked on earth! Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything starts with t

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
