Going through the seasons of life...

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

It is not unusual that from times to times (from one year to another, from one month to another, etc.) we feel like that something has shifted in the atmosphere. We can tell things are not happening as smoothly as they were just a day ago. Yes, seasons change! 

Likewise, we go through seasons in our lives. But that is not supposed to mean that it is a time when we will simply "survive" till the wheel goes round again. 

“I the Lord do not change. 
So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed." 
Malachi 3:6

Even though seasons change, we need to remember ONE THING: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Heb 13:8). He is the rock we are standing on. He is changeless and lives inside of us! It is not because it is winter that we need to be feel cold, since we have a "personal HEATER" inside of us! Jesus is the one who is able to keep our hearts warm even when the world is cold. 

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; 
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." Jeremiah 31:3

We can rest in the assurance of his everlasting love. His love and goodness follow us through EVERY season of life and this is the very hope that should burn in our hearts every day!  


"Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, 
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations." 
Psalm 145:13

We have an unchanging God whose dominion endures throughout the times; therefore we can still have confidence and keep our heads lifted high even in times of trouble.

It doesn´t matter the time or when things will change. The Spirit of the Lord is not only upon us, but INSIDE OF US, all around us and He is the one who empowers us to go through the fire and waters and suffer no harm! The bible tells that when Daniel was cast into the furnace, he would walk in the fire as if he was walking in the palace! That is the power of having AN UNCHANGING GOD with US!

Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, 
"I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." 
Daniel 3:25

Jesus said to the disciples: 

“It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power 
when the Holy Spirit comes on you;" 
Acts 1:7-8

So be God-within-you conscious even now and start going through every season of life without any harm, but enjoying every moment of it!

To every thing there is a season,  and a time to every purpose under the heaven... Ecclesiastes 3:1  Nowadays one of people´s greatest excuses is: "I don´t have time". But it really amazes me  how that Jesus seemed to have time to every little and big thing as he walked on earth! Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything starts with t

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
