No ordinary mind...

“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16

The brain is the most complex organ in the human body and definitely the most complex creation present on this universe.

It is interesting that many things that neuroscience reveals are just facts that we can see throughout the bible. They say that our achievements are designed by our beliefs. If I (truly) believe I can climb a mountain, my brain sends this message to the cells in my body and they start working in that direction. I am not saying that I will be able to do it right away, but my brain will start shaping my next decisions in that direction (like deciding to start working out, hiking, etc.)...taking small steps towards a great step.

The opposite is also true. When we believe we cannot do something, likewise our brain sends this info to our cells and they won´t respond before such circumstances. Again, it is a matter of belief.

We see that in the passage where Moses sends men to spy the land that they were to inherit. Most of them said:

"And there we saw the giants and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight." Numbers 13:33

On the other hand, two of them, Joshua and Caleb, who saw the very same giants, brought a different report! They believed it differently!!

"Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”" Numbers 13:30

Neuroscience also says that our brain cannot tell REALITY and IMAGINATION apart! That makes sense when we think of a child who watches a horror movie and later they will "see" monsters in their room. Their parents will come and say "it is just your imagination". That is why the kid is frightened, because their brain is telling them: it is real!.. and their whole body starts responding to such "reality".  Proverbs 23:7 states...

"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he (...) "

To think in our heart is nothing but to IMAGINE it. We have a GREAT mind. For we were given the mind of Christ the moment we first believed in Jesus as the one who came to unite us to God again. The Spirit of God dwells within us and He knows no limitation. To have the mind of Christ means to THINK LIKE HIM. And He would never have a negative, a limited thought about us for He knows our full potential in Him, for the ALL POWERFUL, ALL KNOWING God is WITHIN us... therefore we should be aware that we CAN accomplish much more than we think ... so we should start training our brains to THINK like Jesus, for we have his mind!
