JESUS: what a powerful NAME!




"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him and gave him the name that is above every name:  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth..." 
Philippians 2:9-10



The Reputation Institute (www.reputationinstitute.com) is responsible for the largest global study of corporate reputations. This study is released every year and its result is a list of the most reputable companies in the world. For instance, in 2016, the TOP 1 company in the globe was: Rolex. In 2015, BMW topped list.

Ok, my point is: whenever we HEAR any of these NAMES, we KNOW that HIGH QUALITY is related to it. We KNOW that having any product made by these companies is a sign of STATUS, besides guaranteed SATISFACTION.

The bible says that God has given his son Jesus A NAME that is ABOVE ALL NAMES. If we think highly of such natural human brands, how much high should we THINK about this name: JESUS. 

If the NAME OF JESUS is above any respectable earthly name, how much more it is above OTHER NAMES! Everything in this world HAS A NAME. Everything!... Whenever cientists find out a new star, galaxy, virus, disease, they give it a NAME. And once it receives a NAME, from that point on, that THING is automatically SUBJECT to the NAME OF JESUS, which is ABOVE ALL NAMES!

So if there is any circumstance or condition in your life that bothers you, for sure it HAS A NAME: influenza, cancer, depression, anger, poverty... no matter what name is, the bible says that JESUS HAS A NAME THAT IS ABOVE ALL NAMES AND AT HIS NAME all other things (names) must bow. Jesus´ name has power over ALL OTHER NAMES! No matter where this name belongs to or is located: heaven, earth, or even under the earth! If we are in a plane or diving in the sea and fear attacks us, JESUS has a name that is above every name including FEAR - IN HEAVEN or UNDER THE EARTH ;)    

Therefore, let us DECLARE the NAME OF JESUS over everything that has a NAME! 

" the government shall be upon his shouler and his name shall be called WONDERFUL COUNSELLOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end..." Isaiah 9:6-7

The name of JESUS means that we have a counsellor who is wonderful, a GOD that is mighty, a father that is everlasting and a prince whose government will bring peace over every circumstance in our lives.

Let us think HIGHLY of this NAME! Let us CHOOSE THIS NAME to rule our lives! Let us remember that THE AUTORITHY of this name was given to us:

"If you ask Me anything in MY NAME, I will do it" 
John 14:14

This is the BEST CHOICE in 2017 
and every year of our LIVES!

Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
