Focus on what you have in your hands!

"His divine power has given us everything we need
for a godly life trough our knowledge of him who called us
by his own glory and goodness."
2 Peter 1:3

The bible tells us the story of how God delivered his people, Israel, from slavery in Egypt through a young guy called Moses. Moses had some traumatic experiences in Egypt that caused him to flee to a desert and dwell there for 40 years after killing an egyptian.

From the beginning of Moses life, God already had a plan for him! I mean, Moses was already IN God´s plans of deliverance for his people and the fact that Moses killed someone didn´t cause God to change his plans.

But as for Moses, he was the one hesitating to say a straight yes to God´s mission for him. Moses was primarily aware of his lacks instead of God´s provision. He would say that he wasn´t qualified for the "job" for he could not speak right, people would doubt he was commissioned for that, he wasn´t sure in his heart things would really work out AS GOD HAD TOLD HIM, etc.

The thing is: we should never doubt God and his word. When he says he IS with us and will never forsake us, he REALLY mean it. NEVER means NEVER - no exception! It is not "NEVER, unless you (...)". NO! He means it no matter what we do, no matter what we don´t do, HE will never leave us and it is his very presence in our lives that WILL CAUSE us to walk and live a life that honors him.

That is what he promised Moses: to be with him through all that journey. He should not fear anybody. He didn´t need to fear the most powerful man in Egypt, nor the largest multitude. God himself was the one granting him victory in every occasion.

When God spoke to Moses, God placed in his hands ALL he needed to accomplish that job. Sometimes we think that we need supernatural resources in order to succeed in life. ALL we need has already been giving us and the HOLY SPIRIT is in us so we can talk to him and get to KNOW to has already been giving us:

"But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that
were freely given to us of God" 1 Corinthians 2:12

When Moses said that people would not believe that God had appeared to him, God asked him... "what do you have IN YOUR HANDS?". A rod, answered Moses. And God told him:

"You shall take in your hand this rod,
with which you shall perform the signs" Exodus 4:17

Every miracle we might need in our lives is already in the power of our hands. Start to look at your hands and see all the resources you need, for Jesus has already given us everything we need for a godly, joyful, healthy, sucessful life!  Talk to him, ask him, and He will show you that everything is already in your hands!
