Rewards available through TRUST IN JESUS!!!





“ Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:because as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

Most people try not to think about eternity. The reason for that is because of the time they are fearful of God´s judgement upon then. We are taught that we must watch every step we take for we will be accountable of each one of them. No wonder people try not to get TOO close to God, for in their eyes, He is this angry God who is ready to bring all judgement upon them.

Well, all that would be true if it was not written: “…mercy triumphs over judgment.”James 2:13.  We cannot lose focus that the core of God´s very nature is LOVE, and out of His nature flows MERCY AND GRACE, for  “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”2 Peter 3:9

That doesn´t mean that there won´t be a judgement day. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Cor 5:10.

The greek word used in this scripture for “judgement seat” is  bema, which means “a structure, resembling a throne from which kings used to view the games and make speeches to the people and reward winners." So THIS JUDGEMENT speaks of a time for RECEIVING REWARDS and NOT punishments, for ALL OF OUR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE SINS have already been paid for through Jesus´death. We are not longer in debt!

The point is: There will happen TWO JUDGEMENTS. One for unbelievers and another one for believers in Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior. The judgement believers will go through won´t result in any sort of condemnation or punishment: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” Rom 8:1 .

So, in our hearts we need to nourish a great expectation for this day when EVERY BELIEVER will be rewarded  according to what they have done. The only loss we may suffer is of NOT GETTING ALL the rewards AVAILABLE …

“If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Cor 3:14,15



Let us not lose sight that our God is a good Father who LOVES to give good things to his children!!! Jesus has REWARDS available for us and not PUNISHMENT; therefore, we can have BOLDNESS in the day of judgement. His good pleasure is to give us BLESSINGS in the present time and in eternity!

Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything starts with t

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
