How to prosper in everything we do...





"The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand." John 3:35 

It is commonsense that in order to have success in life we need to WORK HARD, we can´t just "sit and watch", but we need to get up and "JUST DO IT". Well, this is not what we learn from Jesus, the MOST SUCCESSFUL -MAN- THE UNIVERSE HAS EVER SEEN! But what was his secret?


Pastor Bill Johnson (Bethel Church) always says that God never hides his secrets and mysteries FROM us, but FOR us -his beloved children-! Jesus has openned up his good treasure and is willing to share it with us, for HIS DELIGHT is to see us LIVING A SUCCESSFUL LIFE just as HE is successful!
The first point is: Jesus was 100% dependent on the FATHER. He wouldn´t wake up every morning and go about DOING AND DOING stuff  "for God" in order to please "God". First off, Jesus KNEW HE was God´s delight despite of his DOING and the KNOWLEDGE AND PERCEPTION OF GOD´S LOVE FOR HIM was the very thing that MOVED HIM towards DOING that which was in God´s heart.

We are God´s beloved regardless of what we DO. We ARE HIS SONS & DAUGHTERS! Therefore, ALL things are made possible if only we BELIEVE that Jesus is the source of our success, and WATCHING Him is the secret of succeeding in this life! Even when it comes to so-called spiritual things, Jesus suggests that we may first WATCH and then PRAY (Mark 13:33). Even our prayers are to be spirit-led in order to be effective.
"The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." John 5:19

Jesus is teaching us that first we need to perceive things in our spirit by focusing our mind/heart in the spiritual realm and THEN pray according to what we feel LED in our spirit. "To watch" seemingsly means to be PASSIVE at a first moment, but get this: picture youself watching TV. But as you WATCH TV, you may see an ad showing a delicious pizza and that leads you to make a phone call and ORDER A PIZZA. WATCHING FIRST caused you to DO SOMETHING EFFECTIVE that would cause your hunger to be SATISFIED. Jesus invites us to WATCH Him first, through time alone with Him and then PRAY. There is so much more for us than what we have already seen, and as we SEE what He IS able to do, nothing will seem IMPOSSIBLE FOR US through the POWER OF GOD within us.

Taking delight in God´s will...

I often wondered why it seemed to be so hard for us to accept God´s will.  Thinking about this, two things come to my mind: 1) Most of the time we are convinced that our own plans are the BEST way to attain our goals, to reach that place of peace and happiness; 2) We are not aware of God´s LOVE and the fact that every bit of His will has its root in HIS DEEP LOVE towards us. We have been deceived by being led to think that God only displays his will in order to mess up with our own plans. Submitting to his will often sounds like we are being nulyfied; it is usually not taken as a reason for joy, but for sorrow. BUT all that is NOT even close to THE TRUTH about God´s will for our lives. Again: we must remember that ALL HIS WILL IS ROOTED IN HIS DEEP LOVE FOR US!... We are HIS CHILDREN and every good father´s will is to do ALL HE CAN in order to cause his child to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, to prosper in ALL their ways and to be HAPPY.  So everything starts with t

Being a living magnet: attracting good things...

Surely goodness and mercy  shall follow me all the days of my life...  Psalm 23:6 One of the greatest issues in our hearts is doubting. It is like we KNOW in a way that God is good and He blesses us in many ways but we usually see it as a matter of SEASONS. There are seasons when we are happy, healthy, blessed... others not so! and this causes us not to be so SURE that things will be alright all the time .  But king David, even after facing great hardships (riots, persecution, betrayals), he would NOURISH one THOUGHT in his heart: THE ASSURANCE that God´s goodness and love would follow him ALL THE DAYS of his life. The only weapon against doubt is assurance. So we can always fight doubts in our hearts by simply declaring "SURELY his goodness and mercy will follow me"... We also see the prophet Isaiah teaching us such truth concerning our health (physical and emotional):  -Surely- he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... (Isaiah 53:4)
